Back To The Start ~ 1

She opened her eyes when the sound of the shower woke her up the bright light illuminating the bedroom stinging her eyes and telling her that the morning has arrived she doesn't even remember at what time she fell asleep 

pushing the covers away she sat up letting her bare feet touch the cold carpet it sent a shiver through her the one thing she hates about the apartment it's always freezing no matter which season it is it could be summer and it's still cold

looking at the dresser she saw his stuff she rolled her bottom lip into her mouth letting out a sigh before getting up and putting on some socks as well as a long sleeve sweater and walking out to the kitchen 

Minutes later she heard his footsteps looking over her shoulder he is already dressed in his uniform "you hungry?" she asked him without looking at him even though she already knows his answer "I'll just get something on the way I have to get going" she nodded putting some eggs onto her plate "alright" finally turning around setting her plate on the counter and taking a seat on one of the stools 

"I didn't hear you come in last night" she added as she played with the eggs with her fork "yeah it was late didn't make much noise so I wouldn't wake you" 

"I see well then have a good day" he nodded "you too" grabbing his keys he then turn to leave

another lifeless morning conversation came to an end she doesn't even remember the last time they actually said I love you to each other 

"hey"

she looked up getting startled by him appearing next to her "what is it?" her words coming out as a whisper

Without answering he leaned down and pressed his lips onto hers the warm familiar never get old feeling setting off "I'll see you later" smiling "yeah" this time she watched him walk away while rubbing her lips together

day after day both of them feel like giving up on each other but then as soon as they kiss, that spark that always ignites has never lost it's fire and that just assures them that the fragile line they are walking on still has hope 

"hey Sel" Taylor greeted her with a big smile as she walked into the fashion boutique they co-own setting her stuff on the front counter "hey sorry I'm a little late"

"it's cool" her best friend replied "so the clothes for next season just arrived" unbuttoning her cardigan "that's great have you looked at them?"

nodding "yeah they look amazing I'll have Katie take them out of the boxes and set them up" smiling "great"

"anyway last night you missed out" shaking her head "I doubt me being the third wheel would be me missing out" snorting

Taylor rolled her blue eyes "so what did Nick actually get home before midnight last night?" turning away from her "so that's a no"

"he's a policeman a job that has no steady schedules sometimes" she replied "bullshit"

"how come you always insist on having this conversation about my relationship everyday" frustrated "because your my best friend" she pointed out smartly "you and Nick have been dating for three years and have been engaged for one, but I can see it your not happy anymore"

"yes I am!" meaning to sound sure but failed "you can't lie to me"

"I love him Taylor his not just my boyfriend his also my best fried" a frown appeared on her lips "I know but a relationship doesn't just work because there's love, there's more to it and you know it"

a customer walked into through the door "I'm fine, Nick and I are fine" saying that as she stood up Taylor just shook her head

"so are you in for poker night after work again?" David asked him, not only his partner but his best friend 

Knowing he shouldn't but at this point anything is better than being at home, Selena will still be there in the morning 

"yeah I'm in" he replied without thinking twice about it

Yes I know Its been way to long since I've uploaded! I'm having lost of interest in my other stories so I decided to start a new one until I get my funk back with the others, hope you like it cmnts? Yeah :)

I really love it. and I love how Nick is a police officer I always read stories where they don't have a job or they have some lame job and its always the same job in every story. I've never read one where he's a police officer..this should be interesting. :)
