@xLakenfacex What, with the huge lack of keyboards and sampling that would later become part of their signature sound?
-
@sk8ace12 Roger, @furiousdesigns Greg
Not that anyone but the three of would care. :)
I just went hunting over at Manson Wiki in an effort to do a quick timeline, here is what I came up with. All three of us show up in the Lunch Box demo cassette liner notes, circa late 1990 early 1991. I can say for a fact that at that time Roger was running sound for Manson, I was helping Scott with the recordings, and Greg was doing what he did. Later liner notes show who was there through PoaAF.

If you look close you will notice that the light show actually stops changing just before I come on stage, and begins back just after I leave the stage. That is because I was running the lights from the sound board as well, not hard to do in these small venues, especially once you have the sound dialed in pretty well.
Cheers to all! RIP Gidget...

Here is my take on this clip, I was there, running sound and orchestrating every other technical aspect of the show except the video shoot, which was directed by Brian (Manson), and the film crew. I (or shall I say, my fat ass)show up on stage at 1:35 to show that nights "crew" how to keep people off of the stage. :) It didn't work long because by the end of the night Mr. Manson had ended up wth a broken foot.
Great Band, great friends, GREAT SHOW, it was hot as hell in there!

@sk8ace12 Hi Roger, it's Kurt. long time no see. Looks like you're still at it.
@furiousdesigns, Wow are you wrong!
Regardless, I hope you are both doing well.
There is so much that can be said but I will leave reality alone and let the myths of the insanity that was continue to grow. It's fun to see that it now has made it's way down to the various crew members from that era. Those that matter know the reality of who was replaced, when and why, and who left, for what reasons.

@kitkatman99 That's all well and good. But I was actually there for 2.5 years. So think what you want, I l know what I know. He may have done some early shows but they used sound guys exclusively later on. Don't get me wrong, I like your dad, he was always a good guy. Funny guy too. I know Scott and Fred too, heard from them both this week.
-
@furiousdesigns Well thats funny, Kurt Moody is my father...i know Scott and Fred...he indeed mixed live shows before he left for his own reasons, not fired...
-
@kitkatman99 You're wrong part 2. Pal. I was the drum and bass tech for them from 90 to mid -91. My name is also in the tape liners "Greg" along with "Mike" (our crew). I knew Kurt well, fat assed North Carolina boy that he was. He was a good guy, a real good guy. Shame he got fired for fucking up tour plans but anyways. Manson used independent sound guys during that time. Kurt did a lot of stuff, but he did NOT mix shows. Fact.

UR WRONG MY FRIEND !!! I WAS THE 1st SOUNDMAN THEY HAD !!! LOOK ON THE LUNCH BOX TAPE U WILL C MY NAME !!! ROGER DANIEL DILORENZO !!! GO 2 INDEPENDENT SOUND COMPANY MYSPACE OR ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE !!

@sk8ace12 Squat on someone elses credentials "ace", you didn't mix this show or any of the other Manson shows you lay claim to on here. I know for a fact that Kurt Moody mixed all of the shows from 1990-1992, with a couple of exceptions where a friend "Jeremy" ran sound while Kurt took care of other road and venue related business, sit down boy!
daisy's playing is so awesome and melodic on this track.. big mistake getting rid of him.
