  • @Mathew1985AZ . Just because CGI isn't perfect doesn't mean you should hate the new films, or films that use CGI. I can understand story complaints with the Prequels but c'mon dude.....

  • Luke had all the persistance of sith lord but the power of a jedi, simply because the skywalkers can manipulate the force, wheres other jedi can only use it and have it flow through them!!!

  • @SaveTheBestForU

It wouldn't be so bad if they'd actually make GOOD movies. These days it's like we have CGI so we don't need a good script, plot and enjoyable characters.

  • @captainkid1 Dude. Movie making has evolved. Deal with it. I know that some people have problems with CGI but if you have the capability to make an awesome scene, there should be no holding you back.

  • @Mi436 Actor? Not so much...

  • @setzer3333 I agree, 3 more examples of this can be seen in two movies, the thing, Alien, and Aliens.

The aliens in the films, and the special effects in the thing still hold up today.

I doubt when tech is better AvP will look good.

  • CGI sucks. They should only do it if there REALLY is no other way and some scene is VITAL to the film and story.

  • @TheDuelOfFates

    He use the force....

  • Jabba had it coming a mile away. Nevertheless, I guess the poor bastard died happy...

(Leia should have been stark naked, anyway.)

  • I got to get in on this CGI debate. Personally, I don't mind it, but I think large-scale models and physical props age better overtime. Case in point: back in the day, everyone made a huge deal over the liquid metal T-1000 in Terminator 2. That's one the first films I can remember that used extensive CGI. When I watch it today, however, it looks like crap to me. When I watch the space battle in RoTJ, I'm amazed how well the SFX have aged. It's like 30 years old now too. Live-action > CGI to me.
