Extreme camping in Snowdonia

A short film about the horrors we faced after stupidly deciding to set up camp on a mountain in Snowdonia. As we arrived back, half the campsite was already in ruins. We luckily escaped with our tents and possessions but some were not so lucky.

A £9.99 argos tent will not save you in Snowdonia..LOL!

Cheap tents, dozens of empty beer bottles and clearly the wrong clothing; hope you have learnt mountains are not to be taken lightly. I climb in Scotland regularly and you really need to look after yourselves much better, as the weather can be easily under-estimated!

As already mentioned by others, terrible equipment and clothing for the weather. Also, finding a place to pitch where you are sheltered from the wind is always a good idea.... Having said that... Amusing!

EXTREME camping? Pah! You got off lightly there. I used to live in a caravan on the next farm along which got blown into the stream just behind it, in the night while I slept!! But the south Walian who thinx you only got caught in a light breeze obviously doesn't know the name of the valley where you were ~ 'Dyffryn Mymbyr', which is known for it's East/West winds howling down the valley.
