High School football isn't just for the boys anymore.
Many girls are learning the game as well.
Several schools throughout the area have powder puff football teams.
At Rogers High School on McTigue Drive, turnout for Lady Rams practices is on the rise. These girls learn a playbook and everything.
It's just like football for the guys. The girls are required to show up for practice, learn the playbook, game plan, and get ready for battle.
The only difference: this is flag football, so there is no tackling.
The Lady Rams practice after school, and will play the week of homecoming.
Even though it's not as physical, these practices and games are extremely competitive.
Last year the Lady Rams lost in overtime and did not make the championship game. They have some lofty goals for 2010.
