my opinion of the cars after years of play (best to worst):

A: Global (great durability and speed, OK handling and accel)

B: Auto Ariel, Mission Motors (both handle and accel great with OK speed)

C: Reise Wagon (awesome speed and weight, piss bad handling for racing or wrecking)

D: Pulse, Desilva (former is a slider, which is a no-no in this game; latter is just too slow)

F: Million Plus, Zizin (Million are fragile, Zizin have very few strengths)

@TORCSami i agree with Global, as they were my favourite cars to use. i'd have to disagree with Pulse, though -- the cars are "drifters", which can be a bit daunting at first in how they did it in the game, but they are a blast to race with.

million plus was good for laughs when one of the drivers would start driving in reverse.

whiplash is probably still my most favourite racing game ever made.

@cs188 Yeah I was looking for those again. "Eyo! GLOBAL!" has become a common saying in our family. Haven't seen the game since 1997.

I find DeSilva worse, not only is top speed the worst, but also it's way too easy to be spun around even by Mission Motors cars.

And Million Plus are the utter worst, if only because of durability.

As for Reise... you need to build momentum/stay off the walls/other cars. On tracks where there are long straights and/or only mild turns, Reise is fast as hell. Try holding AI Reises off with a Zizin at Le Grande Royale or Switchback... I dare you.

Durability is everything on death mode.  The zizin can turn corners without having to slow down much, I think that makes it better than zizin.

I'm to upload some videos soon of me playing a death mode championship with zizin.

I've driven Zizin for the past six months or so and I can win both Premier and Gremlin Cup championships on DEATH difficulty fairly easily - don't tell me I suck ;)

I think Zizin is decent but Pulse is the best all-round car that's not Global. It has perfect sliding feeling and has a higher top speed than Zizin, for only small loss in acceleration and durability.

Man you obviously aren't very good at this game. Global is good yes, because its BROKEN. It is the only imbalanced car in the game especially on Death Mode.

Zizin is actually one of the best all around cars, you just need to drive it properly

You might be interested to know... the voice over was done by American actress Lorelei King. She's an actress you'll find on IMDB - and was perhaps best known for her role with Lenny Henry series CHEF, Emmerdale Farm and Cold Feet.
