His words were about the fact that he's just amazed he even got nominated never mind won since for him especially and the current situation their in it is surprising. You could see he was emotional so talking less means less chance of crying... He's always been the most emotional of the members.

@cereaxx I like your last sentence by the way, and I agree. But I like to take the moments without the camera's and all the hype to decide whether I have and will show that person respect, those moments say a lot too.

I guess we're both neither right nor wrong. I don't think you'd be excited if the person's actions towards you were different than their speech would make one think (because they made a complete thank you-list)?

@cereaxx I understand your point, but so long as I get the credit I'm supposed to get for the work I've done and not somebody else, on paper, I'm fine. Unless said person decides to go for it in their speech - then they should do it properly and thank everybody that worked with them. I'm not even at the age to be graduated in the field I'm interested in, so you're right, I haven't been mentioned in a thank you speech.

Oh how wrong you are. You've never been mentioned on a thank you speech have you? The speech is not meant to be exciting and it's not meaningless to thank someone on live television. It's not what's underneath you, but what you actually say and do that earns you respect.

@cereaxx it's such a given that they're thanked that it's meaningless and doesn't seem as sincere when ppl do it anymore. So I think it's a good thing he didn't bore everyone with a long thankyou list that nobody ever listens to.
