@atheros69 you need a program "Xpadder" This lets you choose what buttons on the controler act as what buttons on the keyboard.

do xbox 360 play and charge via USB work?

@oxThatxGuyxo Or you can just assign the buttons by pressing them on (insert PC game here)
Seriously, it registers the button presses, just not as keyboard buttons.
Example: Go to Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (or any other game), go to settings, go to "set keyboard commands" or wtv it may be, select action and when it says "press key know" press the button you want to work that action on the controller. It will appears as BUTTON_1 or something like that.

hey as i did some looking around on Google most people said the wired usb one is kind easy to work with rather than the wireless one

@IballVid Dude my Xpadder doesn't work on my windows 7, is there any solution?
Can I use a regular Wireless Xbox 360 Controller or do I need a transmitter, reciever or WTFEver?

@zZygoXx For a Wireless Controller you would need the receiver. I am supplying the link for the drivers. The PC's by default do not have a way of communicating with the controller, so they require an receiver.
This method I am present is for wired controllers.
