A brief look at some of the different Slide types available and what they sound like.
Please bare in mind these opinions are my own.
Thanks for everyone's patience waiting for these lessons. This is just the first of many lessons, the others are being edited and will be uploaded in the next few weeks.
Be sure to Subscribe so your the first to know!

I really do hope these lessons are helpful and spark some inspiration.
These lessons are just the bare bones basics of slide, and designed to help you get started. I'll be offering more advanced lessons later.
Enjoy.
Please feel free to ask questions. I'm happy to help.

Also, on an unrelated note - Feel free to checkout my Original Acoustic style singer/songwriter tunes at www.myspace.com/dangreennz

The recordings aren't the best, but it gives you an idea of what other styles of music I've been experimenting with. Thanks for your interest!

Regards

Dan

  • Hi There. You haven't told anything about the how the guitar should be tuned. Regular or open chord. Alex from Brazil.

  • @decastroeu Have a look at Lesson 2 :)

  • your Australian accent was the last thing i ever suspected!

  • @lorehal That's because I'm a Kiwi, not from Australia :) lol..

  • could you post a video on how to play the slide guitar on the song "Happy" by the Rolling Stones? Thanks.

  • @indystarwarsfan585 Hey there, unfortunately I don't have a video camera anymore, but try doing a google search or Youtube search for Happy tutorials? good luck!

Yeah, Australians are like "where's the car?", and New Zealanders are like "where's the car?" lol

  • @Sjjags Thanks, but unfortunately it doesn't help the playing much..

  • I really like your shirt

  • Hey thanks for the kind words, and glad I've helped with some inspiration! Let me know how you get on.

Ry Cooder is a legend, definitely one of the greats in my humble opinion.

    Cheers,

    Dan
