r... may I also recommend some quiet Tournemire or restful Messiaen (like the Prière après la Communion) or languid Langlais (Cantilène)? -
Typical Cochereau. Starts out ear-bleedingly loud and gets louder from there. Why he's hailed as the greatest improviser in history I cannot fathom. Messiaen, Langlais, Duruflé, Tournemire, Dupré could all out-improvise Cochereau to oblivion.
