The U.S. government had been planning to topple the Egyptian President for the past three years - that's according to diplomatic cables released by Wikileaks. The files show Washington had been secretly backing leading figures behind the uprising. Reportedly some fifty people have died and hundreds more injured in nationwide demonstrations since Tuesday. Protesters have returned to Cairo's central square this morning reiterating calls for President Hosni Mubarak to step down. Earlier the president dismissed his government, but refused to quit. Unrest in Egypt comes weeks after a month of chaos in Tunisia, which saw 80 deaths and the president being toppled before fleeing into exile. Investigative journalist, Webster Tarpley, told RT, Washington wants to put new leaders in power in the Arab world to follow the U.S. agenda.

  • @DickOPlenty Wikileaks a disinfo operation

  • Right on Tarpley.

Especially upon reading the words of US Senator Lindsey Graham: "Every American should be appreciative of our aid for the Egyptian army, because that army is our ace in the hold to make sure Egypt doesn't turn into a Muslim state".

The very same army assures the US that they wont allow the Muslim Brotherhood to step in and that Egypt will remain a US ally (i.e. puppet). Now we know where those billions of dollars went to: they are surrounding the protesters in Tahrir Square.

  • yeah the CIA is making the arab people want freedom from a oppressive government.

I cant wait for these protests to exspand to china and russia power should be in the hands of all citizens of a nation not just 1 man like Putin of a few elites like the CCP

  • I think same things will be happened with Europe!!! bcoz Russia will not show passionate for a long time on NATO and its alliance brutal act in Libya and might be attack in Europe, basically NATO and its alliance have been misguided by U.S and Europe is playing with fire!!! Therefore, NATO shouldn't test the Russians' passion anymore and get rid out from Libya war as soon as possible if they want to save Europe

  • @MidnightFireBurst

    yup pretty much..

  • Plant anti-government material to young men and women>riots>the current government gets overthrown>worse one steps in>countries erupt into civil/religious wars and chaos>countrie deemed 'rogue' or 'terrorist' state>assets frozen and sanctions imposed by the west and it's allies>further violence>the UN steps in to 'stabalize' the counrties while setting up military bases>set up a pro west government> rinse and repeat in other countries who aren't 'allies' to the UN.

    Modern day colonialism
