The Kinks, el mejor grupo de la historia del pop mundial, crearon a principios de su carrera una serie de himnos garajeros, siendo uno de los más conocidos este agresivo y riffeante "All day and all of the night", de sempiterna presencia en el repertorio en directo de la extensa y fértil trayectoria de los Kinks, grupo emblemático del mejor Pop inglés.
Sé que esta canción aparece en muchos de los videos de Youtube, pero creo que esta actuación en concreto no había sido subida hasta ahora. Esta filmación pertenece al programa televisivo inmencionable por excelencia (cuyos derechos audiovisuales son propiedad de uno de los más casposos capitostes de la industria musical, que se niega a reeditar con criterio su monumental archivo).

Great clip. For the record, they are lip-synching to their record. I don't know if this was the band's decision, their management (probably not, as they abandoned the Kinks on this tour, right as it ran into problems), the promoters/producers, or the AFM.

This is recorded in '65, not '66 (maybe that's the broadcast date?). They were about to get banned by the AFM from a gringo USA that does not quite understand what they are doing (yet).
Many youngsters got it, though, and a new white American suburban teenage rock angst is about to be born (the Doors, Heavy Metal, Punk, etc).

The way he was goofing off and holding an acoustic guitar, he might as well have been holding a cello. Clearly by 1966, they had tired of performing the same hits over and over (even if it is a kick-ass song).

Dave was one of the better...as RAY,,,is one of the
best damn song writers of all time.

I myself have never liked the "Flying V" guitar. Still it's all good to hear and see The Kinks.
