Hi cool you use poppies for the pain relief or recreational use or do you just like the flowers or the seeds as a spice? I get these growing here in Sweden (very cold country) without problem, they even spread so well that they are now the main weed in my garden! I mostly use them for recreational purpose (poppy tea which makes me feel good in my body) I don't do it often because I don't want to be a dopehead but I am very interested in useful drug plants in general. It's like a special hobby.

@Komsip you should try growing "marijuana" its a very medicinal plant, and grows with very little care

my grandmother grew poppies she taught me how to grow poppies it is now a tradition to plant a few of them every year

Dunno who Bayer are so I'll check it out, don't know why people need Heroin anyhow. What is unfair is nature is against the law, no wonder society is so sick.

how can i properly germinate p/som? i live in a hot weather area, a zone 10, and it seems impossible to grow

does any1 know an easyier way to get some poppies growing? (ornamental purposes only) thanks isnt any1 doing a starter kit? as they should!!
