  • All of their albums are really good.

  • @JettFox

You are right about some thrash. I personally couldn't get into Slayer , and won't deny that thrash did influence a lot of new (suckish) genres. I personally don't think metal is completely ruined if the old bands can still get out , put on shows , and kick stupid scene kid shits (BVB , falling in reverse , etc.) asses.... Anyways...

  • @catatack3000 Agreed. BVButtfucks are ruining the name of an already (unjustly) ridiculed genre (Hair Metal) because they make claims they cannot back with music. I'll end by saying: Thrash metal is overrated garbage who influenced most, if not all modern metal. Whether you enjoy extreme metal or not is completely subjective, everybody has their own taste. My original comment was to debate that "cock rock ruined metal". If metal is "ruined", by definition Thrash ruined it. Ya dig?

  • @JettFox

I was saying they mentally believe they are influenced by hair metal (And that Ballsack dude even stole Nikki Sixx's name...) Their guitar work just sounds like a joke to me , put with too many breakdowns , annoying inhaling of breath that's supposed to sound like screaming , along with some horrible joke for singing , in my opinion not much like the bands you listed (except "hardcore")

  • @catatack3000 Again even 'Scene', The Black Veil Queers have no link to Hair metal except visually. They took the style, fused it with emo, and fagged it up. Musically there is no link to Hair Metal. In-fact their guitar work is more closely related to the 'extreme' metal genres i.e. thrash, death, grindcore/hardcore (scooped mids guitar tone, and screamo vocals with the occasional whiny emo bitch vocals). Image means nothing, their music speaks for itself.

  • @JettFox

Not what I was saying. I meant to write "shitty scene band" talking about that new "Black Veil Brides" band (which really suck by the way) and them saying stuff like "we iz hairmetal harharharhar!" , which is what emo is now. I am aware the actual "emo" genre is stuff like Rites of Spring , Sunny Day Real Estate , etc. and has nothing to do with hair metal.

  • @catatack3000 Hair metal influenced emo? Emo as a genre has been around since the 80's who are influenced from goth, punk, and rock. Emo of the late 2000's is not influenced from hair metal but influenced from the 90's pop punk, grunge, goth and pop. While there are the few screamo bands who steal hair metal fashion and turn it all hot topic and gay, the vast majority have no link to hair metal musically. You should inform yourself about musical genres properly.

  • @catatack3000 Respect guitar work. Clearly you know nothing about guitar. Kerry King and Jeff Haneman are a complete slop fest on the guitar. Dave Mustaine is mediocre on guitar at best. The only good Guitarist from the two you mentioned is Marty Friedman who left Megadeth because he was bored and didn't like the 'Thrash' Metal style. Hair Metal Guitarists include: Hary Cody, Nuno Bettencourt, George Lynch, Reb Beach, Warren Demartini etc... Thrash: Marty Frieman, Skolnick.

  • So this is what they did with the set from The Goonies...

  • @JettFox

Actually Megadeth and Slayer are amazing bands. I personally like grindcore , death metal , and black metal...But I also like hair metal...which inspired that shitty emo band....So yeah....Also , you may want to learn to respect guitar work before insulting those genres of metal..Although screamo and nu-metal fully suck...so does grunge...
