  • Matching sound to film dates from the ealy 1920's. I have sound film from 1924 (Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake). This particular movie (and most others from that period that I have uploaded) was made with an accompanying 16" disc that was played simultaneously with the film on a special machine. "The Jazz Singer" was not the first sound film, it was the first full length sound-film. See some of my other uploads for sound films from 1926 (Ben Bernie) to 1929.
