@ilovemysig220 sig p229,sig 227 is larger than a 229, the 229 is the baby brother, well in size terms, not necissarily caliber. the 229 was made for the civilian/law enforcement market. 226 made for military

Actually he has an excellent grip and the way he handles his gun is prefect. No Brass or shells would hit him because the SIG 229 sprays the brass upwards... it is a perfect way to shoot your gun because it is totally controllable if you do!

it is definitly a sig sauer p 229. strange way to hold the gun though. He would be covered in brass and the shells would hit him. But he is in deed the only cop i have seen in this kind of series that has a decent grip and holding technique of a gun!

Horatio Caine uses a Beretta Cougar at first which changes to a Sig Sauer P 229. The P 229 can hold a double stacked clip when it is customized!

since speed died, he has used a sig p229 or so says cbs, however I think that it looks more like a p226 and I have seen a few episodes where he shoots more rounds than a 229 mag will hold, so I strongly think that he has a 226. before speed died he used a beretta cougar 9mm
