My son wanted me to record this siren again by his Aunts house in Columbia Heights. We did an ambiance style recording this time with the siren 2 blocks down the street on 49th and Jefferson. It does both the alert (1pm sharp), and attack modes, and it's cool to hear how loud it is echoing off the houses.....too bad it was so windy.

  • Was there a tornado sighting?

  • I used to go to that school heehee, now I go to Kenyon

  • Nice ambient recording. The siren sounds great. the FS2001 in the background completes the siren symphony. Good job.

  • @LouisvilleTorn8o That's a soundmaster, he already has another video of it up.

  • Sounds like the rotator on that Allertor is busted.

  • Nice ambiance. Anyone know what was going on with the dual tone siren in attack? When it winds up, it gets softer, and on wind down, it gets louder. Maybe a damper or a solenoid?
