Do you even realize how stupid you are just saying that and actually thinking that you have a point?
I said that an acid such as a carboxylic acid, ie. vinegar, lowers the pH of any solution (unless in the presence of a stronger acid, in which case it acts as a conjugate base and increases the pH). The man said that the introduction of vinegar would increase the pH (instead of [H+] and acidity which he probably meant) as common dirt lacks strong acids.
