Act III, scene two, lines 120 to end of scene

a famous monologue by Richard. Laurence Olivier interpolated much of it into his "Now is the Winter of our Discontent" that opened his stage and film version
of "Richard III". View that here:

Directed by Jane Howell

the same fine cast in all these Henry VI plays of this production, and Richard III too.

  • This guy is my idol.

  • Ah, I love this clip. Ron Cook's excellent. Thanks for posting.

  • These are the best productions of Shakespeare's Histories ever. Formidable!

  • Bravo Ron

  • "Mmm Oven Crunchies" Sorry Ron if it's any consolation I reckon yours was the best R III ever committed to record.

  • We are doing this play this year. Last year we did as you like it and it was the number 1 shakespeare play in March you can go to all the worlds a stage and get your ticket! Tickets will be on sale as of jan 8. Thanx

  • Ron Cook is the most underrated actor in Britain. He is just brilliant in everything he does. I first saw him in this and have been following his career for 26 years (yikes!). See his Brunel in 'Seven Wonders of the Industrial World', his performance as a tormented Rabbi in Silent Witness and many others. Go Ron!

  • Hmm, it's actually 72 lines, still quite impressive though. There are no amount of stars to give Ron Cook for his acting in this because, to me, he is beyond perfect.

  • awesome
