  • @AntiGrav82 On Apollo 15, it was found that astronaut Jim Irwin, after coming back into orbit from the lunar surface, was had some sort of heart issue that the telemetry picked up, which was assumed to be a lack of potassium. The flight surgeons then thought it was best for the next crew on Apollo 16 to have more fruit juices and drinks like Tang to take care of any heart issues. An aftereffect of so much citrus was indeed a little excess gas or as we say it, farting.

  • Oh, jeez...my sides hurt...

  • "HOW LONG WE HAD THAT?" John Young FTW

  • I remember reading about this incident some time ago. I never understood why the flight surgeon adviced Young to eat all of those oranges in the first place.

  • Thanks nitwit, tell him AFTER he becomes the first man to cuss in space.

    Wasn't that a song too?

"Giant Rips are what you make, Farting on the Moon...

I hope my suit don't break, Farting on the Moon..."
