Mile End. Bow. E3 1970'S

From the time that I was in Mile End, Bow at the end of the 70's. I had lived beside this old couple but never knew the awful story of their daughter until John's wife was taken ill and John would stand , to chat out of loneliness...at his door.

That is an extraordinary story, and clearly one that has stayed with you all this time too. Tragedies like that are never forgotten, her poor parents. I think you created a wonderful, moving tribute that everyone who watches this now will remember that couple, their daughter and their sad story.

The street I lived in was Aberavon Rd Mile End...now gentrified..I have another poem about that...y'know the Chipper Cafe now an Estate Agents etc...! Maybe I will do a vid on that sometime. There is another from that street...read by a friend of mine...My Waterloo it's called...about my outdoor Loo...(not many poems on that subject I sup'ose...come to think of it...lol..).Thanks again...k
