From the time that I was in Mile End, Bow at the end of the 70's. I had lived beside this old couple but never knew the awful story of their daughter until John's wife was taken ill and John would stand , to chat out of loneliness...at his door.

  • so lovely but so sad dear ! how we miss your smiles... how we cry for our love ones forever

    bless you for sharing ....

  • @badboybaldy1 Well thanks...smile...? Have I ever smiled on this channel..? lol...The story is a true one...so I was not responsible for the nature of it...!! I just wanted to tell it..social history is so quickly lost.

  • I found this very moving

  • @jamesburrprints Thank you.

  • That is an extraordinary story, and clearly one that has stayed with you all this time too. Tragedies like that are never forgotten, her poor parents. I think you created a wonderful, moving tribute that everyone who watches this now will remember that couple, their daughter and their sad story.
