Have you tried putting an insulated box over the cooking pan? An upside down box might reach higher temp and keep its heat more reliably than the normal sun from above box cookers,but it is not on the net. You have an ideal system for testing the theory! All you need is the box and an oven thermometer coming down from the top. (It must be protected from the direct light). You can have the pan empty because all you are measuring is speed of temp gain and static heat reached. Can you?

Is there a way to set it up so you don't have the shadow of your cooking pot on the reflector. It looks to me like the roasting pan itself is blocking a lot of the heat it could be getting.

Well done in Townsville. How does one get the measurements for the design? I have a parabolic program but wouldn't be sure I was doing it right if I tried to replicate yours.

Hi, would it be possible you post the plans in another video or website, I really like this design and would like to add it to my other ovens I have. Would be great for frying and cooking flatbreads.
