'Sorcerer'
written by Stevie Nicks, performed by Marilyn Martin in 1984 for the "Streets of Fire" soundtrack, with Stevie singing backing vocals {this version has slight differences in the lyrics}

Stevie wrote this song back in the Buckingham Nicks days, though they only performed it live. It finally appeared on her 2001 "Trouble in Shangri-La" album.

The tarot card is "The Magician", from Buckland's Romani Tarot deck.

The pentacle is the cover of Pentangle's "Sweet Child" album.

  • AWesome video!! Hey, have you ever read the Fables comics? Looks so similar!

  • @Halpin2006 I've never heard of Fables comics... off to look them up >>>

  • @SilverWolfMoon thank you for the info would like to see this "street of Fire " and def. want to get the tarot card agree this is really a better version more passion and just different but awesome

  • @lilistarr767 The film is regarded as a 'cult classic', but personally I found it a let-down ~ it could have easily had another 30 minutes to really develop the plot.

  • The version that appears in the film is not this , it's performed by Laurie Sargent.

  • @dammedalucard If you read through all the comments, you would see that I already mentioned this a year ago:

    The one in the actual film is sung by Laurie Sergeant, who sang lead on the two Fire Inc. songs 'Nowhere Fast' and 'Tonight Is What It Means to Be Young'.

    This was done to maintain the continuity of the lead character's vocals.

  • I think this is the best version of this song. It's got power and passion and a sweet ferocity to it.

  • I agree, there is a slight difference between the actual movie version and the soundtrack, yet, this is one of my favorite 80's songs, and one of my favorite rock musicals!
