Again I didn't mean to make this such a long video ... I may start timing myself - though - no guarantees that will work. Neither self-discipline nor brevity are strong points of mine.

I do have fun making these li'l things and truly appreciate any feedback at all ...

Thank you so much for watching my antics!

  • Well now that's what I call using your head Carol! Your "cookoo & gong" idea was great! a perfect and harmless solution for your 'crow' problem... you should patent it (LOL)! That was funny about the old fisherman too (lol)! And isn't that always the case with cat's and hairballs.... they always leave 'em in the worst spots (LOL)! Oh well, that's life I guess! I enjoyed your chat Carol, it put a smile on my face! Thanks! ... FrAnK (★★★★★)

  • FrAnK - lol thanks so much, my friend, for coming by and giving a listen to my silliness. I really and truly MUST sort out a way to shorten these things and maybe even to find something substantial to tawk about. LOL

  • lol cute vid hun -- alessx

  • Aless - I keep trying to reply to this comment and it won't work on my page. Grrrr. Thank you for coming by again sweetie... I'll really try to make these shorter!! lol

  • Carol, I love, love, love that story. P.J. was here watching over my shoulder and we are both just cracking up at your antics while trying to get it told.

I've been trying for years to entice the orioles into my yard. I have both a fountain and bird-bath. I put out all different varieties of fruit... even bowls of jelly. I have 2 oriole houses. Everything that's suggested I've tried, but though we occassionally see them they never stay.

So how did you get so lucky?

    Hugs you.

    Mattie

  • MATTIE - Aww... I know. Those orioles are elusive buggers. BUT ... try getting a couple of suet cakes with berries and nuts in them. We swear by the berries. But we also nail (oh god now I'm laughing) orange slices to trees! LMAO. They peck at them... but it has to be in spring. They come early ... look around... then leave if they don't like what they see. You know, like the bad boys at dances. hehe

  • ahh- the poor bastard....:)

crows- just the other day i came home and got out of my car and there was a crow sitting on my neighbors roof giving me hell about something...i said to him in a a calm voice..."is that so" he gave me a look of disgust and flew off...I have noticed that crows don't tend to like humans (or maybe just me). Maybe get a third device that says smart remarks (Groucho Marx?) and you'll insult them off Your porch...) GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!:)

  • You are adorable and this video just brightened my day! You and I have a few things in common. We (Carol and I) have bird feeders in our yard and get quite a variety of birds, and I chase the crows constantly. Our cats will never puke on the wood or laminate or tile, but only on the rugs. The squirrels steal our suet. Oh, do you ever get bluebirds? We get them only in the very early spring for a few weeks, I guess as they migrate. They're drawn to the birdbath I think. Luv ya! ~ Jimbo

  • Dearest Carol,

I really enjoyed this little TRUE story of yours, i really love listening to your voice with that cute accent. Good to see you again and i will come back for more of your lovely stories. Hugs from Calif. Cheri
