Eco-Frame
•AHB has developed a unique beekeeping frame that is made from injection molded plastic that can be mass produced.
•The frame is supplied with pins and removable clips that are used for adhering wax foundation.
•The frame is more cost effective than wooden frames, does not require wire, nails or glue.
•It doesnt require assembly.
•It can be fully recycled.
•The space between wax foundation to wax foundation is 32mm (African Bee natural comb space) and 11 frames fit into a normal Langstroth super
•The frame can be easly changed from a 11 (brood) frame configuration to a 9 (honey) frame and vice versa (spacers are included at no extra cost).
•Can be easly hygienically steam cleaned and sanitized.
•The plain design prevents pests from boring or hiding inside confined spaces eg wax moth.
•The tooling and manufacture of the frame was done locally (South Africa) and contributes to development and employment in the local plastic industry.
