Ah, Brings back memories. I first heard Open Up Wide in the trumpeters cabin at band camp in a small town in Ohio about 1972 - totally blown away. After I bought the album, I played Bill Chase's solo over and over until it was all written down. Too bad I was never able to truly play it. Nobody in our band had that kind of range, but a kid named "Moose" gave it a descent attempt, even though about the best he could do well was a high F. Thanks Pasley for introducing Bill to us.

Having played the trumpet in High School band back in early 70's, Chase was the envy all like me who could barely hit double high C. Cool retro song.
