The Enemies of Reason: Dawkins confronts the dangers of the pick and mix of knowledge and nonsense in an internet age and passionately restates the case for reason and science.

Part One: Slaves to Superstition tackles the epidemic of irrational, superstitious thinking, garnering tips on psychics' entirely earthly trade secrets from the illusionist, Derren Brown.

  • @MrJaysChannel Me too, I just cracked up..I'm sensing, sensing...bollocks!

  • Oh well money is what it is about if these people voluntarily give money to these road side carnivals that is their problem and their choice.

  • @334286 That's a lot of words to say nothing. If I make the statement "Right now, David Cameron is discoing", I have no way of knowing if it is true or not without breaking into No. 10 and checking, i.e: finding evidence. The same is true of any claim, be it the leisure activities of politicians, the ability to find water with tent pegs, or the existence or not of a universal overlord. All these need evidence, and without it, no matter how much we claim truth, there is no reason to believe them.

  • @Pudabudigada You know when something is real and when something is false. Just as when you can see and measure something physical for real, you can tell truth from lies if you're awake and aware.

  • @334286 Differentiate it. An assumption based on what we might like to be true or have been told since birth. This could describe either belief in god/s or any of these other spiritual/superstitious beliefs. How are they different?

  • @sirgwatathe3 'the fuck? I'm not religious.

  • @absolutelynever there is zero evidence for a god astrology is making predictions from the damn stars how does that make any sense religion closes your mind and physics is a constantly changing subject with new evidence for different things everyday

  • (sorry accidentally pressed enter, stupid iPad) existence that I'm not aware of? Is it because religion is believed by more people? Because of individuals experiences? WHAT?
