He adds "nothing too heavy" cuz when he saw her, he saw that she had too many problems("grieving over loss, sorry to be heavy, but heavy is the cost.") and he didn't wanna deal with it. "must enjoy the sun, must enjoy the sea"

and the "is it you or me?" he's asking if he's the problem or the women, and "it wasn't meant to be", maybe it's both.

I'll admit, I cry during Caroline's "I never got your name" verse. She opens herself up, for once, and gets rejected for it. Hard not to feel that.

Absolutely beautiful. Can't find anything wrong with it.

I find it moving when she sings "I never got your name, I assume you're 33" and the "i was sure you saw me, but it wasn't meant to be" because it kind of shows that he wasn't actually looking for a committed relationship.

Also, i think that when he says "is it you or me?" he's referring to whether it was hi fault that they didn't develop a relationship, or hers. It could also have been hers because she had difficult problems.
