yeah dude I had magnaflow on my 2001 v6 mustang also and it sucked, worst 500 bucks ive ever spent, got the flowmaster 40's put in with true duals for 300 and its wayyyyyy louder, also have bbk headers on it too

The GT has more power and weighs more. You are oversimplifying the question and ignoring costs like tax, title and financing. Another aspect of perspective is the goal being sought.

If your goal is to be the fastest then you need a Bugati - and $1.5 million to pay for it

If you want to win drag races you'll be doing that in a car that isn't street legal

If you want to get the chicks then you need a stock BMW or Mercedes - women want status

Tinkering with a V6 is not a crime

@iTapThat4Sure i actually paid more for gas in my old modded v6 than i do in my gt and if you friend is complaining about gas, then he must not be driving too efficiently. or has a pre 99 mustang gt

@forry90 i myself will stick with my v6 and put components on it because the cost of gas used to power a v8 will severely outpass the cost of putting a few mods on a v6 in the long run. and dont say a v8 doesnt take much gas, my cousin has a v8 mustang and constantly complains about filling up. so i disagree and say good choice man
