I'm a true-blue Stevie fan and this the one song of his I truly dislike.
By his own admission in an interview he wrote it almost as a joke, a deliberate attempt to get a number one hit in the UK,because he was sick and tired of his best efforts not getting to the top slot, so wrote a saccharine-sweet song almost as a p#ss-take of what was popular at the time. the irony was, it did get to no.1!
