the climb

another old clip. salisbury was hand raised after being abandoned by an apparent feral mother who was moving her kittens when she heard a loud noise and ran leaving the kitten and not returning for it within the next few hours. his umbilical cord was still attached to him. taken to a vet, an employee bottlefed him til he was at an adoptable age. the asked her neighbor if she wanted the kitten and guess who her neighbor is? i said yes. she obviously did not teach him how to jump. so he used his muscles and would pull himself up on the counter. i suspect one day while i was at work, scarlet pulled him aside and said "there's a much easier way to do that, watch me!" it was funny watching him scale the kitchen drawers to get up on the counter but like all things, nothing is forever. he now simply jumps up onto it.
