The Bulldog Band plays "Powerdrive" for their football team as they walk toward the field. The band included alumni members who joined in the fun before the game against San Jose State. Matt, on Kyle's shoulders, play the bari sax together Matt is playing the top half and Kyle the bottm half. Matt's bari was one of 9 bari saxes in the band for homecoming!

  • i love it!

  • The actual name of the song is Mars it came from a piece called The Planets by Gustav Holst written in I believe 1914 or 1916. The Bulldog Marching Band started playing it in 1992/93 and it stuck ever since the band decided to call it Powerdrive to pump up the team and fire up our defense when we need a big stop or when we get a lot of momentum.

  • Is this song original to Fresno State or does it come from another song? I heard it when I went to Mizzou but never knew what it was or where it came from.

  • =O :26

  • Gotta love the Fresno State Marching Band. A lot of college teams don't have a band like we do. We are fortunate to have a band like this at Fresno State. GO DOGS!!!!

  • Matt rocks in this video lol that was hilarious to look over and see.
