Here's a birds-eye view of an LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) as it leaves the well deck of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6). Taken during the Tiger Cruise in 2005.

  • You guys on the Bonhomme owes us guys who served on the old Bon Homme (CVA-31).

Yes, you owe us the basic Pride of Ship that we showed.

Do you know what a chipping hammer, a wire brush and a can of paint is?

Just the rust I can see in this video makes my skin crawl.

    Word to the wise:

If you let the ship down she will let you down.

    Otherwise, good sailing mates.

  • @jpdude999 I am looking to take a job in the LCAC community, could you give me the skinny....been navigating my whole career.....whats it like as a QMC on these puppies?

  • LCAC...the sport car for the Navy

  • Bonnhomme Richard LHD 6 yea I spent 13 months of my life on that boat! Operation Enduring Freedom! The Navy is the Taxi service for the Marines, while the squids spend their slimy days being beligerent, & scrubbing the bulk heads, & floors. Marines priorty is workingout, studing knowledge, eating, & making sure we get in our racks to take a nap, whenever the squids call out GQ.............................General Quarters Bitches!

  • @indoorin hell yeah, half the lhd's are loaded with these, ready to deploy a whole expeditionary ground force.

  • @fran21ish jarheads arent allowed on these boats

  • Must be some ride!

  • Hey! That's my boat! I was the Craftmaster on the the mighty LCAC 32. That was my last deployment before I retired.

  • @fran21ish LCACs are operated by the Navy and carry Marines.
