This 2006 F550 died while driving, then cranked and unable to start. In this video, I show highlights to gain access to the high pressure pump. Then I remove the pump cover and pump. I then show installation of the revised STC fitting, then installation of the pump and cover.

  • i have a no start on an 05 f350 but i get 300-400 psi cranking were you talking about the d rings on the injectors bad?

  • @808hawaiianfire

You are building some pressure, but not a lot. At this point, by the pressure your reading, I would say yes, you leak is most likely from the d-ring seals. But these are not on the injector. The d-rings are part of the dummy plug on the high pressure oil rail. The Ford part number is W302908. There is one on each oil rail.

  • Man, you are going to save me a lot of money! I appreciate the information. You remove the mystery behind it all. Now I just need to get a torque wrench and get busy!

  • @Komelika

Good luck with your repair and I hope it turns out great! I do accept tips, lol!

  • Fantastic!!! What software are you using to diagnose?

  • @audiohighway

I use factory equiptment, it is Ford's IDS - Integrated Diagnostic System. A great tool I will not work without!

  • How did you torque down the HPOP cover bolts under the EGR cooler? Is it a guestimate? What is the best way to find out my oil pressure to troubleshoot if I have a STC problem or something else? I ordered AE which hopefully has enough smarts to point me in the right direction. I suspect I'll be having to do this in the next week or so and am trying to get all the info I can. I really appreciate you taking the time to share these videos; they're about the best tool in my tool box.

  • What kind of torque wrench you using? Also can I buy that software your using of so where.

  • @mannasteve thanks i got someone in at ford that can get me the parts at cost so veryyy cheap but thanks for the info ill still check it out!

  • @fordpowerstroke2012 Tousley Ford dot com is easily the cheapest place to get parts.
