Here is a short clip of setting up totally hidden OS installs with Drive Crypt Plus Pack. And by totally hidden, I mean no encryption software on disk.

This is more of a supplement to the text description of this process on the website: http://twosandals.wordpress.com

  • What antivirus and firewall do you use?

  • NOD32 for antivirus and Agnitum Outpost for firewall....for the most part..

  • Eset NOD32 has FireWall now is very similar to Agnitum Outpost FireWall. What do you know of Truecrypt? How is it compare to DriveCrypt? BTW i'm using NOD32 Antivirus and FireWall if you know of anything better please let me know. THANK YOU!!!

  • I'd heard about Nod32's firewall, but haven't tried it out yet.

Truecrypt is supposed to be pretty good. In fact, from what I understand, it is supposed to be harder to "crack" since attackers have to try all of the password hashing algorithms that TC supports and then each of the encryption algorithms for each hash.

Too bad they don't have a full OS encryption option yet..

  • how do you fix dvd/cd rom, coz' it doesnt show any icons on my computer,i only see on my computer are Local disk (c:) recovery (d:) and my Documents,There is no dvd/cd rom icons, plz tell me what to do,thanks!

  • EnCase doesn't do CD/DVDs unfortunately. I use CD/DVD Inspector for optical disks. Isobuster is also a good option if you can't find Inspector.

  • very nice vid thanks a bunch! :D will have to try very soon...

    ~info~

firewall:zonealarm free firewall works wonders :)

    antivirus:kaspersky internet securiy

  • speaking of antivirus and firewall, if you're a home user and are low on budget (who doesn't these days), you can try 'my' solution:

    - Avira AntiVir Personal Edition

    - Comodo™ Free Firewall

and i only use encryption to store my, hum, *personal* videos with TrueCrypt.. haven't got many secrets to hide (yet!) heh :)

very nice vid, will try doing it some other time ;)
