@Ronald5081 LOL, never made chief. Retired as a First Class Petty Officer. When i was aboard Nimitz, I had 3 stills going. 2 were found(They were bait). The third kept going when we were off the Gulf of Oman. Kept us going, as well. That was back in '82. =Stefan=

@chengloki Come on Chief we both know better, Captain and the Chief were usually pissed or in the progress of getting pissed! Cheers old chap!!!
-
@NinjaKenton That's also because water ended up being used for both washing, leaving mostly alcohol being the only thing actually drinkable.

Auf der reperbahn nachts um halb eins?! Why is there such a text and WHY they sing german?! o.o
-
@chengloki They would drink at sea, waaay back because they didnt know at first the alcohol dehydrated the body.. Plus this song is about punishing a sailor who drank at sea, so they obviously did drink at sea, but it wasnt smiled upon..

@chocoboy02 Muahaha :D

Sounds like you havent been out sailing for a while ;)

@chengloki yea but the song is from about five or six hundred years ago when the only thing that wouldent get infected on ships was alchoholic drinks
Sailor's would work to song, to keep them in rhythm, If they attempted this, they'd end up 3 meters backwards, after circling the globe 3 times. Yes even through land.
