  • Furthermore, I hate to burst your bubble MAGICO240, but Elvis re-recorded this tune because he loved and respected its original composer. He also had complete love and respect in mind when he took the time to translate it to a different time period. By your comment, you clearly do not have that same love and respect for the original. Goodness, what would Elvis think of you and your 'evaluation'?

  • The continual bickering and pathetic arguments are distressing. Enjoy the music--jeez people! get a grip!

  • This is what I heard from my dad off of his "Golden Guinea Greats" albums that were from the early 60's.......... whatever way it comes, it's blinding. Just enjoy!!!

  • I love this version but my favorite version is the Joe Bonamassa version...absolutely excellent!

  • One of the greatest. A Texan band recorded in Texas but issued on Chess/Checker out of Chicago. The Chess brothers weren't saintly but they had great taste in music!

This was one of the best tracks on one of the best blues albums ever: The Blues, Volume One, on Chess and (in the U.K.) Pye International. When I acquired it in the mid-60s I played it constantly and I ain't lyin'.

Thanks again to TheBluesfan12 - yes, I have this on CD many times over but it's still good to hear it again!

  • @WhenIrishEyes Thank you!! You summed it up. Peace to ya ♥
