This guy was harder than hell to beat... even on the rookie difficulty he was a giant pain in the ass. The noise he made terrified me when I was a kid, in fact, the noises that all the boss robots made were pretty creepy to me as a kid.

@Necrosaro HeHe, that especially worked on the boss that shot flash missiles. I got really good at steering those guided missiles, I'd fly around some nasty turns to send that boss straight to robot-hell. =)

This is what I usually do. There is an invulnerabilty powerup right inside the room where the guidebot is. This is pretty close to the red door. Now go through the red door first and kill all enemies. Then fly into the boss room and get that cloaking device. Now go through the whole boss room and kill as many robots as you can before your cloak runs out. Then run out of the room as fast as possible. Get the Invincible powerup and go back pounding him with mega missiles.

Toughest boss in Descent two unless you have guided missiles. If you manage to save 40 leading up to the battle, he's a piece of cake. (Even on Ace, just drop all guided missiles in spawn room and recollect them for boss fight)

@LightcycleChampion Where do you purchase Descent 1 and Descent 2 with such excellent features? I do not have my old copies any longer. I want to play these games again and relive my glory days.

Look up the DXX-Rebirth project. You'll need a copy of the game (physical or from Good Old Games) in order for it to work.
