Film Discussion: "Martyrs"

A brutal, unpleasant, and excessively violent French horror/revenge film about a girl who escapes torture only to track down the family she believes responsible 15 years later. Some interesting ideas can't save the film from going too far for far too long.

But that's mainly it. It could be just a hallucination, a desperate lie, and all the money put into this just for really nothing concrete, plus the boredom and 'shock for shock'...just didn't appeal to me. But that's just me, so again that's cool.

"Martyrs" = the best horror film of 2008! Im not into really brutal horror films but america has lost it's balls when it comes to making a good horror film. You might like the edited version of Martyrs which is like 5min shorter.

A thing with Martyrs is...after a while it was kind of boring. Just 'beat, beat, beat' and that's it. But that's cool if folks like the film. I just didn't care for the reason for it and to the why...it didn't really make sense to me. I guess I won't give it away for others but i just thought 'if i'm tortured that long, couldn't I just lie about everything just to end it?' & all the money they put into this operation it's like...well lol that's how I thought of it. But it's cool, Nice job.
