City Council President Pro Tempore Jan Perry, and Melanie Pozez, Director of the Bark Avenue Foundation, were surrounded by adorable, adoptable shelter animals as they held a press conference Thursday, September 15th, 8:30 a.m. at Bark Avenue, 545 S. Main St. Perry heralded the new city ordinance prohibiting the purchase of animals on Los Angeles streets; and Pozez announced the third annual Get Your Licks On Route 66, Downtown's biggest-ever pet-adoption-and-services event, coinciding with National Puppy Mill Awareness Day.
Ahhh so instead of beIng able to give or sell animals to people, they want them dumped. That will be the unintended results. Nice.
