Jazzy's mega home 2

Jasmine the hamster lives by herself in this mansion of a home. It consists of mostly Rotastak pieces, but she has a Habitrail Safari, too. Believe it or not, but she can actually run all of this in the dark and she never gets lost!

why is the bedding the food?

In her cage, Jazzy had two types of bedding; Paper pellets and carefresh (in her little house, which is snugglier than the pellets.) None of these was meant as food and she didn't ever nibble on them. Her food is the biscuit and seed mix that you can see at 0.44/ And in case you're wondering why there are no paper pellets at in the cage where she stored her food, I always put bedding in every cage...

But if she didn't want it there, she'd move the whole lot into another cage, using her cheek pouches, in a matter of 1/2 an hour or so. You can set out items in your hamster's cage, but they will choose their own layout and no amount of changing on your part will convince them to change their ways! Jazzy was very particular, that way!

If you don't believe me about this, take a look at 0.28. That is a potty with a pink base and clear lid. I always cleaned it out, pilled it with litter and put it back in...but within about ten minutes, jazzy would have kicked out the toilet sand, and turned it over on it's roof. Every single week of her life she did this and I could never pursuade her to stop doing so! LOL!
