Joan Baez in Lyon in 2010. Singing Dona Dona with her public, what a beautiful moment!
With Gabriel Harris, Dirk Powell, John Doyle, Todd Phillips, and her assistant Emma Vasseur.

  • She is still very popular in France, I love her !

  • YES SHE IS !! I love her too ! :D

  • Well, I think you meant she's singing more with her soul than with her voice. This is what my friends did reproach her when she was younger, I mean that she was singing with her voice, but not with her heart and soul. I sometimes understood what they meant. But actually she sings with her heart and soul, and it's good to hear.

  • i didn't mean that. I think that she's always sung with...but apparently everyone doesn't think the same ! =)

    I've always loved to hear her! .

  • @jolamaline .... ANY ONE ... who was not bought up in these times should not say how it should have been done .

    You had your time to do it later ... but YOU didnt .

  • mais avec plaisir mon petit Christophe ! Pour elle c'est toujours un plaisir !!

    Joséphine =)

  • you're welcome from the french to support so great singers, they are the real one. ! =)

  • it's true, she can't sing as high as she did, but she sings more with the "breathing" i don't know if it means something but i understand myself !

    I didn't know if it was a compliment so i asked. lol That was amazing to sing with so many people.

  • PS

    Merci to the French for always being so kind and supportive to our treasure, whom we in the US too often underappreicate.

  • She's one of my all time greats, but the last few years have sadly seen a lot of decline in her voice, but not her phrasing or heart. Here I was pleasantly surprised at how "strong" it sounds.

    Peace & Blessings!
