Microsoft Windows History

A neat history video I made going through every copy of windows from Windows as a simple MS-DOS GUI(1.x) to Windows as a fully working Operating System(Vista). This video shows the early NT versions as well as the last of the 9x versions.

All symbols and the operating systems are products of Microsoft, I take credit only for gathering the screenshots of these Operating Systems and compiling them into this video. The Music is the British Broadcasting Corp. Countdown compilation.

simply go to Start>Run, and type in "winver". This shows you what version, service pack, and edition of Windows you have installed.

I am not sure why, but why did NT 3.x, NT 4/5 Beta have the MS-DOS Logo on the Command Prompt?

I started with 3.11 but having used Macs found the interface really weird. I had to get a PC for uni. Win95 fixed the interaface and made it mich more logical like a Mac. Win98 was still buggy for me and every year I had to do a fresh install to speed things up again (bloat). Win XP I have used since it came out and only had one Virus that wrecked my install. Apart from that it runs good as the day I installed it. My Dad brought a new PC with Visa - horrible! Win 7 I have tried but XP just works
