How can anyone vote for Depp!!! Sure he's a good actor but Gene Wilder is a legend and his version of the movie is a classic. Wilder was born to play Willy Wonka and he had some of the most awesome lines that Depp didn't- "YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!" and "Springtime" and he sang "pure imagination" and the famous line "so shines a good deed in a weary world." Depp had none of these and Gene Wilder did them beautifully.
