  • This is one of the videos that made me lean toward Coda... after playing around forever with literally every editor I could find I seem to have really fallen for Coda. It seems like what I want and need even though it was a little expensive. I am a new mac user and have already spent over 2 grand on it... ugh... now I need a good domain name for professional use and I am set.

  • @HippieMagic Glad you like it!

  • thanx a great deal elliott, this helped me to get acquainted to coda.

you speak and move a bit fast. i'm a beginner and search for good tutorials that will help me to learn how to build websites, so i do hope you're creating a few tutorials on html and css soon.

thanx again and keep up the good work!

  • @wgberlinsteglitz I am definitely looking at doing some more beginner tutorials on HTML and CSS. Sorry if I went too fast with this one!

  • Espresso 2 is another nice one that I'm really starting to like. Coda still has such a rich feature set though. Nice review!

  • @TheExplodingBit Espresso is awesome, although I haven't used it in a while!

  • can you customise the colours of the code syntax?

  • I am thinking of buying Coda, but I only have (a very old) Photoshop edition for Windows. I think it might be annoying to switch between them... :|

  • @scharf1 Coda has an FTP client built into the editor, so you don't need a separate app.

  • Great video. That looks better than editing from the default WP editor. I haven't needed an FTP program (i.e. Cyberduck, Filezilla, etc) for anything I've done on my sites. I've been able to download/.zip everything I've needed. I'm wondering if Coda requires me to be using an FTP client (such as Cyberduck, etc.) to access my websites; or can it access my sites (that use Wordpress) without me having to use an FTP. Can you instruct me on how Coda would handle this. I would really appreciate it.
