GreenovationTV's Matt Grocoff joins The Environment Report's Lester Graham at a big box store to find eco-labels you can trust. Matt shows us three labels you can really count on.
When buying wood, look for the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) to ensure that it comes from trees that were sustainably harvested and don't come from clear-cutting forests.
To save water, look for the EPA's new WaterSense label. This label says that the showerhead, toilet or faucet not only uses far less water, but also performs as good as the old school water hogs.
Finally, the sniff test. To maintain healthy indoor air quality and keep polluting gasses out of our atmosphere, make sure you seek out products that have the Greenguard seal of approval.
