Cuenod's career has always been a unique one -- his repertoire may be the most diverse of any singer. Certainly his career was the longest! Here he provides us with his interpretation of this classic spiritual. One can hear him sing countertenor, tenor and baritone!

Hugues Cuénod died December 3, 2010 at age 108. R.I.P.

  • RIP Hugues-Adhémar Cuénod (26 June 1902 – 3 or 6 December 2010), aged 108 years.

  • Congratulations for this treasure! This is from his first recording session on 78s (Paris, 1935). He accompanies himself on the piano! I'm interested in getting a copy of these recordings. Where did you find them? Thank you!

  • This is great!
