Digitised from a crumbling cassette tape, this is Keith Moon performing a comedy routine for an uncompleted album, circa 1974-6. The producer of the piece, John Walters, played this on his BBC Radio 1 show 'Walters' Weekly' in 1981 which is when I taped it.
As far as I can tell, this recording hasn't resurfaced anywhere so here it is in all its hissy medium wave majesty for anyone who wants to hear it.
Just saw in Tony Fletcher's magnificent biog 'Dear Boy: The Life Of Keith Moon' that the probable recording date for this sketch was 11th October 1975 at the BBC studios in Maida Vale, London.
