Highland Appliance Piano ad

Great tv commercial from Highland Appliance (Detroit) where a kid fools his mom into thinking he is practicing the piano by recording himself on a reel to reel tape deck.

Oh man...Highland, Ollie Fretter and Sonny Elliot the weatherman. Slap on the Ghoul, Sir Graves and Bill Kennedy and you have most of my childhood TV memories right there!

This commercial is absolutely out of my childhood. I think there was another Highland commercial - does anyone remember - two cars, one brand new, one a junker, but both with the same sound system. I think they used a song from Tin Lizzie.

Yes, those two commercials, plus the Highland "50 watts per channel" ads are also my favorites.

Thank you for commenting what the name of the tune is. I never knew the name, since they don't really teach it in the classes I took. I only knew it by my own name.."the song the kid played in the highland appliance commercial"
