Nintendo's ridiculous press conference at E3 this year. The video was meant to show how incredibly boring it was which is why it's 7 minutes long and some clips haven't been edited to show how everyone looks like they're on a really long episode of Blue's Clues. Nintendo's really been lacking for the past 2 years. Without any AAA titles, a constant barrage of stupid Virtual Console games, and an overall lack of support (like the Metroid Prime Preview Channel), I'm starting to worry about what they're doing. The last statement at the end of the video sums up everything in this montage.

This video wasn't to be taken negativelly. I was waiting so long for E3 2008 so much that I actually watched the whole one hour conference over the internet, and it was a mix between disapointing and hillarious. I hope this video captured the more hillarious moments...

Thanks Youtube for the gaming catagory!

  • Didn't notice how boring it was, I mean what do they think they were doing up there. Just 3 new games?

  • those were the previews of third party games that nintendo showed. only 3 in their already-lackluster conference :|

at least this year's E3 was way better.

  • I'll second that, this years E3 was great.

  • i didn't watch it in full, but compared to last year, there's nothing they could've done more wrong this year.

  • wii music is fun, but at the end they make it look so bad.

  • E3 2008 sucked. E3 2009 rocked!

Seriously, though, does Nintendo really think that they're going to keep their fanbase if they continue this charade? I am so sick and disgusted with their 'innovation'. Real innovation comes from thinking outside of the box, not forcing gamers to flail a remote around all the time. The Wii was ment to give gamers a new dimension in gaming like what the N64 did back in the 90's, but for the most part, Nintendo has let us down this time.

  • LOL this conference sucked. You Nintendo fanboys were very lucky GT had been down during E3, and still going.

  • Nintendo redeemed themselves in 2009.

  • Continued: I think the N64 and Gamecube were better imo. They were both one of the most powerful consoles at the time and I pefer the traditional controller over this motion sensor gimmick. Nintendo is aiming to much at non gamers and casual gamers now.

  • Ps1 demomlished the N64 =P I was refering to the end of the SNES since that was when they were last in first place. They seemed to try alot harder when they were in last with the N64 and the Gamecube. They both had some of the best games ever made.

The games you mentioned were released to put the Wii on the map with both new and old fans. Since they know they have won this generation I don't think they will try as hard anymore. I have a Wii downstairs but I play it very rarely.

  • a lot happened since 1993. the N64 for instance! the ps2 actually demolished nintendo's gamecube in sales with 120,000,000 to 20,000,000.

they did release twilight princess, metroid prime 3, super mario galaxy, smash brothers brawl, and mario kart for the wii wii since then. but they're focus is leaning from a balance of gamers and non-gamers to specifically non-gamers and this conference proved that. they said this year's E3 will be much better. we can only hope so.
